How does Vein Removal Therapy work?
Our practice uses the Q-Clear laser Laser which delivers pulses of light energy which cause the blood within the vein to coagulate, eventually destroying the vessel. The vessel will then be reabsorbed by your body. Blood flow will be redirected to deeper veins where it should be. We treat spider veins and smaller varicose veins.
How many treatments will I need?
The number of treatments necessary depends on the number, color, and size of the vessels being treated. During the consultation process you will be prescribed a treatment plan that will aim to give you the best result.
Do the treatments hurt?
Most patients experience only mild discomfort much like a rubber band snapping. No local anesthesia or pain medication is required. Following the treatment, there is usually no pain to minimal discomfort.
When will I see results?
Results vary, but most patients experience significant improvement within two to six weeks of treatment. With smaller vessels you may see immediate results. Final results may not be apparent for several months.
